General Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, chairman of the High Council of State, Head of State has granted an audience Sunday at the presidential palace in Nouakchott a mission of Chinese businessmen currently visiting Mauritania, led by Mr Hijun Zhang, chairman of the committee on the food industry and high science technology of China.

In a statement to the MAI, the head of the Chinese mission said in AMI is pleased that this meeting, emphasizing that his mission is in Mauritania to discuss economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the agriculture, mining, fisheries and others.

He recalled the strong friendship between the Chinese and Mauritanian people, expressing belief that the current visit will help consolidate this friendship.

The hearing took place in the presence of MM. Sidi Ould Tah, Minister of Economic Affairs, Ould Melainine Tomy, chargé de mission and Mohamedou Ould Michel, Counselor for Economic Affairs to the Chair of the High Council of State and the Chinese Ambassador to Mauritania.
