On the occasion of the celebration today of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Arab Maghreb Union, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has released Tuesday evening the following communiqué:

"Like the other Maghreb countries, Mauritania today commemorates the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU). On this happy occasion, Mauritania reiterates its commitment to the union as the best framework for achieving the aspirations of our peoples just one maghrébins ties of religion, language and history.
